Vital Music is a fan site for Northern Ireland's biggest and best live music festival, Tennents Vital. This site will hopefully be your number one resource for all your information regarding the festival. The site will feature the latest news, rumours, pictures and everything in relation to the festival.
Tennents Vital itself started back in 2002 with it's first ever concert being held in Botanic Gardens in Belfast. This became tradition until 2007 when the venue was changed to Ormeau Park so more people could attend. In 2008 the festival was cancelled but there is renewed hope for Vital to return in Summer 2009!
Over the years the festival has seen many top bands play live in Belfast such as The Killers, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Manic Street Preachers, Kaiser Chiefs, White Stripes and Franz Ferdinand. As well as supporting the big bands, the festival also supports smaller bands through the Radio One Tent. Acts to have played it in include; The Holloways, Iain Archer and General Fiasco.
We hope that through this website and our facebook group that we will grab the attention of the organisers of Tennent's Vital and perhaps convince them that it would be an event worth having for the sake of all the music fans in Northern Ireland. The festival has boosted the local economy in the years that it did run as fans from across the water and further afield travelled to see some of the top class acts that the event has hosted over the years, not to mention show casing what great local acts we have here in Northern Ireland!
